Decoding The Universe

Book #11 on my '07 reading list was Charles Seife's Decoding the Universe: How the New Science of Information Is Explaining Everything in the Cosmos, From Our Brains to Black Holes.

Throughably readable, Seife's book starts off a bit slowly, but really kicks into gear over the second half as he somehow manages to lucidly explain the black magic that is quantum physics. Not often you can find a book that's enjoyable to read and will bump your IQ up a good 10 points at the same time. Good stuff.

Salon Review <-- recommended for a good discussion of the book

You might enjoy a book I'm currently reading. I have found it absolutely fascinating. "The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality" by Brian Greene.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've read earlier Brian Greene books, but haven't had a chance to check out the new one yet. Looks like I should add it to my list :-)
