"Before you know it as the years go by, you're just like other people you have seen, with all those peculiar human ailments. Just another vehicle for temper and vanity and rashness and all the rest. Who wants it? Who needs it? These things occupy the place where a man's soul should be." -- Henderson the Rain King

Goal Line Blitz

TrevJo just introduced me to a cool MMORPG Football game called Goal Line Blitz. You create a player, train them, sign them to a contract and then manage their career. Players sign with teams made up of other real users and compete in leagues against other teams. Simulated games happen a few times a week (you train in between) and you can even watch replays afterwards. As you gain points you can move up from a mere player to an owner/coach who actually runs a team. I created a WR who got picked up by the Algeria Addiction, a team in the SE Asia league. Pretty fun so far and definitely a unique spin on Fantasy Football.

Gators Drafted

9 Gators were drafted in the NFL Draft this weekend, the most of any team. Shockingly none of the players were named Chris Leak, as he had to settle for a free agent contract with Da Bears (where he'll backup fellow Gator Rex Grossman).

No word yet on if Earl Everett is signing as a free agent somewhere.

We Are The Champions

Damn it feels good to be a Gator.
