Talladega Nights

"Film" #2 of my new 50 film challenge was Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Shake and bake.

Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen, UCB's Ian Roberts, Andy Richter, Mos Def, Walker & Texas Ranger...what's not to like?! Doesn't elevate to the level of cult classic but it's a funny film none the less.

Jamie says: Pretty funny
RIYL: Happy Gilmore, Anchorman

I LOVED Talladega Nights. But then again I'm a NASCAR junkie. LOL.

Google said you had something up about Padgett Powell's Woman Named Drown.
You obviously have some connection to Florida; do you know Padgett?
I am big fan of Vesta in the Novel.
Talladega nights. I know of something in the hopper in similar genre. Will let you know how it fares.
As for nascar, My Dad's cousin Max; that's his picture with Little E on front Section B in the Washington Post right after Big E hit the Wall.
Oh, my realtor is from Florida. Here in Bama calls himself the Frozen Gator. His bro in law runs Collonade Restaurant on Bayshore in Tampa, if maybe you've been; or have loved ones there.

Hey FoxofBama, indeed I read a Woman Named Drown last year and I've gotta agree w/ you. That Vesta is one helluva fine character.

Don't know Padgett, but I wish I did. I know someone who knows him though, so I suppose that's better than nothin'.

I like that a Gator in Bama is a Frozen Gator. What's that make a Gator in Washington?
